HarperCollins Party at the V&A

Well, what a fun evening that was! Nice to put faces to names of editors I've worked with, and meet fellow authors of series that I write for. Recognised one face, but couldn't think where I'd met him. That's cos I hadn't - at which point a few of us started playing Spot the Celeb. These included Ben Fogle and Simon Callow. Apparently, David Walliams was there, too. And at the end, when I dropped off my name badge, I spotted another actor-author's name - see the Extra! As I have no sense of direction, Mr PP kindly escorted me there and back, and he did set eyes on Samuel West as he left ...! So, that's almost done with the name-dropping - the last was the absentee - a posthumous tribute to the great Michael Bond, who died last month. Paddington Bear and one of his books was on display in the entrance hall.

My blip is the beautiful venue after it had gone dark. The wonderful weather meant the party took place outdoors in the courtyard of the V&A - such a lovely setting!
