Spitsbergen - Longyearbyen...

and its polar bears... sadly or thank good we didnt "meet" one. We were told that all people of Longyearbyen have to have a gun with them when leaving the houses... 
After 1,5 days on the cruise ship we left the ship and walked into the little town of Longyearbyen... An American with name "Longyear" explored this little place and its prosperity of coal and did "found" this little town. Longyear=his name , byen in Norway is "place"... so Longyearbyen was "found"
Look at the extras - I loved loved loved it there - even we had to wear boots, jackets, scarfs.. was around 0 degrees C - (got a WhatsApp from my dad and was told its about 34 degrees C in Munich)
