Out early

Russet and I went out early to escape the heat, walking along the shady side of this cornfield in the cool of the morning. It was blissful, with the heads of corn just beginning to turn gold, birds singing, stream running alongside.
Later, it developed into a very hot day - it was Day 3 of Wimbledon and we watched quite a few exciting matches!
