Standing stones?

Rainy Thursday morning - must be time for the Wee County Walkers to get our cagouls on and hit the trail...  We took a shortcut through the grounds of Dollar Academy and passed this installation on the way which I hadn't come across before.  Couldn't see any information as to what it might be, but it made me think of a modern version of standing stones??
