The artist and his work
Pamphyle (left) had a vernissage of his new exhibition at the gallery in St Laurent this evening. It feels as if summer is really here; as we sat in the garden sipping iced water, a constant procession of people we know came through the gate, including a good 50% of the guests at our party on Tuesday. So there were many bises and lots of chat. And also some looking at art. Pamphyle does very large canvasses with lots of blue in them (the one in my blip is a bit untypical in the amount of ochre). The house is lovely, but not all the rooms in the gallery are entirely suited to displaying them to advantage (see extra ...).
Earlier, a trip to Béziers for masses of form-filling ... I finally settled on a route for extracting my pension from the UK. What a relief -- now it's just a matter of waiting.
