Remember to dead-head the ones behind the subject...

Had a visit from a couple of councillors this afternoon who seem to be doing a bit of a 'meet the locals' thing.  The main topic of conversation from our part was just how far back in the Dark Ages the Malvern waste collection / recycling is.

It's this far back: black plastic sacks collected weekly; a recyclables collection that doesn't take glass (unless you pay for a bin as we have), 'green' waste that doesn't take peelings and a recycling centre that doesn't take small electricals. 

Ah for the Cambridge system that often left us (a family of five) with less than a carrier bag of landfill per week.
