Crazy About Birds

Ix Park

I took a random shot as I was getting into my car to head home today after my usual morning at Live Arts, because there was bucket thing with some guy in it working on what appears to be an addition to a building - and I thought maybe if I was really lucky the photo would be usable for today's Abstract Thursday challenge. The building is part of a large complex that was once a factory of some sort adjacent to downtown Charlottesville, but now houses all sorts of random artsy fartsy things and restaurants and events and so on. There is a mural of a series of clasped hands on the wall of the older part of the building - that as I understand it is going to be moved and reestablished when they're done. Ix is the name of the family that owned the factory - the building they seem to be adding onto is some kind of basically metal thing that was added to the "park" - it's not the original factory building. Anyhoo - here is a fartnarkled photo of the growth that is currently occurring in Ix Park. Lucky me, it does fit the challenge!
