The Love Fish

I went swimming at 9am and then had a physio appointment at 11.30am, except he did acupuncture today with needles going either side of the tendon.   They felt fine on the left side of the tendon, but were extremely sensitive on the right hand side and then there was a dull ache for the duration.  He said the first session is usually the worst and that it would probably ache this afternoon, but should settle down quite quickly.

I then drove to Seaford to meet Kate for lunch.   We'd originally planned to go to Standen House and Gardens which is a National Trust property, but as the weather was so nice, and in light of us both having ailments, we decided to just meet for lunch instead.  It was a good choice as I couldn't have walked very far today.

We had lunch at the sailing club, and then drove and parked up by the museum and strolled up to Splash Point.  We saw 'The Shoal' which is a sculpture of several fish shaped benches, and you can sponsor a fish and have your name or a message engraved on it (see my extras).  Then there are the Love Fish which are engraved with two names linked by a heart, and are fixed to a mesh barrier to form a bunting.  I thought the whole thing was really impressive - I'm not sure I'll be sponsoring a fish though as they range from £85 for the smallest, to £150.

It was a very pleasurable afternoon, and before heading home, we sat and had a drink on the beach - there was a nice breeze which was very welcome as it's been another hot day.
