Gathering

K&L's Annual Summer Bash was held today in 99 degree heat. We had a 5.8 magnitude earthquake last night at about 1 am which bounced some of us out of our beds, so the first question happened to be "Hot enough for ya?". The second was "Any damage at your place last night?". It lasted over 30 seconds so some were knocked off their feet when they left their beds. I got a bruise on my thigh that's quite colorful. In any case, the food was good, conversation lively and the troubadours were delightful.
The heat wave is to last another week, at least. It'll be 100 plus next week. My party on Saturday night has to be moved indoors...drat.
