Life Saver

A dull start, brightening with sun and cloud.

With the promise of a better day we took ourselves off to Filey on the bus. We enjoyed a good stroll around, families on the beach, ball games, children swimming and paddling (looked a bit chilly to me).   After lunch we went down to the Lifeboat Station, an amazing organisation which we all hope we never need.

On our return home we got the wrong bus, going to Bridlington and not to Scarborough!   Two hours later we alighted the right bus at home, welcomed by the storm.   By the time we got there all three of us were drenched through to the skin!    Poor little Holly looked like a drowned rat!    Needless to say we had the lovely aroma of wet dog all evening!

Once we had dried out we did laugh about it!
