Mothers in Waiting....

Cloudy, cold and bleak. That describes today's weather. I walked the Wither Hills early this morning. There is a flock of sheep in a paddock next to one of the tracks. They all looked to be in lamb i.e. very heavily pregnant. Two of these three looked to be carrying triplets at least. Their udders had filled up and they were moving very slowly. I really felt for them. I expect to see tiny lambs frolicking on the hills any day now.....
