SquirrelBlip Friday and...more

Good light early this morning! As I shot these two squirrel photos, I was surprised by a large bird taking flight just on the other side of the tree from the squirrels. It was most likely an owl, as I heard not a sound as it winged away. I could swear that I heard the squirrels' sighs of relief! The Bluejay was enjoying a breakfast snack at the BarkButter feeders and the frog...sadly this beautiful frog is a Cuban Tree Frog. They are an invasive species here in Florida, eating other native frogs, toads, anoles and even baby birds. So this will be mr. frog's 15 minutes of fame before he embraces the 'deep sleep'. :(
