Lotus Blossom Time

Osuzanna and I had yet another fantastic mini blip meet in a local garden.  We have discovered many wildlife and garden treasures in the metro DC area, and today we went back to a favorite.  The lotuses are blooming at the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, and we made what has become an annual visit.  The flowers didn't disappoint.  I have also included a photo of a juvenile Northern Mockingbird sitting at the marsh edge, giving the background a golden hue.
