Donald: the fragrance

It's the weekend - hooray.

Arriving home, I realised I had not taken a shot all day. So I am blipping the book I am currently reading. Topical on the day Trump met Putin for the first time.

I love books, and I love reading, but I just don't have the time at the moment. This one is taking me an age. Which is a shame, because it's fascinating, and a bit of a page turner.

I hadn't really known a lot about Donald Trump before he became president, apart from the fact he was rich, loved putting his name on buildings, and hardly seemed presidential material. Oh, and the prospect of him leading the world's superpower seemed frightening.

I now know a lot more. Central to understanding the phenomenon is how he became his own brand early on, and has made a lot of money from it. Even down to merchandising a fragrance with the name "Donald, the fragrance". Count me out on that one.

He has always been disruptive, never played by the rules, rates narcissism as a good quality, and has always known how to hit the populist buttons. The reality of President Trump remains alarming.
