Open day

You'd think that living and working in a school in Cambridge I'd know when the university open day occurred and therefore avoid town on the relevant date. Suffice to say that as well as the usual international tour groups, the college thoroughfares became increasingly flooded with prospective students and members of the public who wanted to take advantage of the 'access all areas' license not normally granted by certain colleges.  I will admit to having a quick wander round St Catherine's, a college which normally has its gates firmly shut.

Given my usual early start, getting in and parking  was easy, but getting out again was... interesting...

My blip actually shows the corner of Gonville and Caius college (as can be seen on the banner).  As you can see, the punting touts were out in force and definitely trying to take advantage of the extra passing trade.
