Deserted beach

Having cycled yesterday, we decided to walk today.

We parked just over the bridge on the island of Noirmoutier and walked up one coast, across the middle and down the other coast.

It was a hot day and pretty exhausting. I was surprised how much back pain I experienced from walking. I had thought that, with managing to run 5k recently, I was over the worst. Today proved there is still some considerable way to go.

Anyway, the last 5k was paddling in the sea all the way down a long deserted beach. As we walked along we were watching the fish dart in and out with the breaking waves.

Despite struggling a bit by the end it was still a very enjoyable day.
