Rain Dial

Introducing a clever invention which displays the time when it rains. This device uses the reflections from rain puddles forming on a concave surface in much the same way that a sundial uses the shadows created by the sun. The locals told me that even more accurate time measurements are possible when also taking account of the concentric rings formed by individual raindrops, but I'm afraid that the complex maths which this involved soon defeated me!
