The Piano removers came to take away penny's piano this morning - I managed to show them all up by opening the storm doors - earning me the name "mr muscle".
There was Chaos in the charity shop - the manager had to run off so I was left in charge, which felt very important. I quite enjoyed ruling the roost, maybe I should go into management instead or marine life! When the manager came back from the first emergency, one thing happened after another and everything that could possible have gone wrong did.
When I was walking home suddenly it started pouring with rain through the sunshine. But instead of heavy daggers it felt gentle and for some reason I felt elated and wanted to shout at the top of my lungs "I LOVE THe RAIN ! " . I started to tear up and feel emotional as well because it reminded me of morning swims from the floating sauna and I had a longing for Finland.
I passed a homeless man and noticed that he was drawing. I stood and watched from a distance for a while and saw he had a battered sketchbook full of colourful drawings, almost childlike in their innocence and naievity. I approached him and asked him if he would like a cup of tea. He replied stammeringly that either would be grand, so I went to costa and came back with a tea, a flapjack and a banana. He thanked me very very appreciatively and I told him to look after himself. As I was walking away he called me back and asked "here what's your name by the way?" and when I told him he stuck out his hand and said "nice to meet you Bella I'm Mark". Penny was unwell so I took her a box of camomile tea to cheer her up.
Dad came round for a "siesta" before our restorative yoga class.
I'm feeling deeply sad to be missing Finland... we both tries something new at hug and pint - a delicious chilli sesame udon broth.
