Under pressure

I've been back at work for three weeks now, and it's been pretty much plain sailing. The idea was that I'd get the office sorted before taking on anything new and, once I knew I wasn't supposed to be taking on anything new, I thought it was a great idea!

Real life though has unfortunately (and quite rudely, I might add) intruded on my relaxed beginnings - a confluence of my impatience to get started, other people's personal circumstances and still others' need for help has thrown me in at the deep end a bit, and I have to say I'm starting to feel the pressure!

I knew this role would require me to up my game. After plain sailing for so long, it's surprising how challenging I'm finding it, even now at the beginning, to find that... I don't know... oomph?

But at least I've got a good view while I'm looking for it ;-)
