Calne (Saturday 8th July 2017)

It was a couple of degrees cooler today and I ventured into Calne to get basic provisions, taking a camera with a 55mm prime lens with me to capture some blooms in the town centre. I used to have this crocosmia ('Lucifer') in my garden, at the same time that I had a wonderful black cat called Lucifer, so they always cause me to raise a smile in his memory. I am currently growing some more from bulbs, but in the meantime I can enjoy these in the Town Gardens, just a minute or two's walk away.
