Red Admiral
I parked close to one of the gravel pits with a view to finding a blip for today. There were quite a few bugs around but as I only had my little Sony with me I didn’t get anything I was very happy with. Going back to the car, passing some blackberries in the hedgerow I noticed a butterfly that turned out to be a Red Admiral. It was fairly cooperative in that it settled within shooting distance. My blip for today is the Red Admiral and as it settled above me it is shot from underneath and not as usually from slightly above. My extra is a bell clematis that I shot on my watering round – in a very shaded walkway and I do quite like it.
