Book parade

Stuck in traffic this morning for what seemed like eternity!
My mind wandered off to happier times of this seemingly mundane little back street...
On the corner stands 'Archway Footwear', named as it sits under the arches of the viaduct (visible in the background of the blip), which specialises in dance shoes.
My best friend at school (Caroline) and I used to delight in choosing our favourite pair of shoes (different choice every week, what fickle creatures we were!)
The taxi rank is a newer addition to Eagle Street, but lower down is 'Book Parade', Accrington's finest? sex shop!
I remember the main window of this store being almost completely blacked out, with just a letterbox sized hole for viewing the displayed contents (namely adult books).
Again, Caz and I misspent spent many happy times peeping through the slot and giggling like the schoolgirls we were!
Eventually, the traffic lights changed and I drove to work, but with a wry smile on my face!
