Historic uniforms of the park
Belair National Park is the Park of the Month for July, and we kicked off the celebrations today with a historic and cultural event at Old Government House. This was part of the display of Ranger Uniforms dating back to the 1970’s.
There were walks led by Aboriginal Rangers, who pointed out the cultural significance of the landscape, and there was also a really interesting lecture about bush foods, and the importance of nature to human wellbeing.
Next weekend will also be very busy – the Friends are running bus tours, and selling morning and afternoon teas, hot soups and all sorts of stuff.
