Blue Dragonfly

We played out at Universals 'Islands of Adventure' today, checking out the Harry Potter section first, and enjoying a drink of Butterbeer.

Over in the Jurassic Park bit, there was a little pool by the side of the walkway which caught my eye. After moving in nearer to check out the water lilies, I was excited to see this massive dragonfly having a rest on one of them for long enough to get out my big lens. I've wanted to get a shot of one all holiday so am really happy to have finally gotten one.

It rained all afternoon - starting just after we had got completely soaked on the Popeye ride, meaning we had a soggy few hours!
