Royal clematis
Weve actually had a whole weekend at home to ourselves, the first one in a good while......its been quiet and enjoyable :-)
Slept well albeit a bit warm.......we had a bit of a lie in.
Hub popped round for his newspaper whilst I prepared a beef madras to go in the slow cooker for dinner this evening.
Then we had half an hour sat in the garden, reading the papers, beautiful weather, sunny, a light breeze, guessing around 22 degrees. Time for brunch as we hadnt had breakfast, so it was bacon, egg and tomatoes on malted brown toast.
Spent the rest of the day gardening.......the front was in need of some attention, id done about a third of the border a few days ago, so tackled the rest of it. Hot work, needed to use the shears on 4 shrubs to get them into a proper shape! The green bin is almost full again!!
We had a break, hub made a cuppa and we sat on the decking looking at the garden for a change :-) It is looking pretty good at the moment. I decided to photograph our clematis Diana which has almost covered the entire arbour...and has taken over now our roses have all but finished.
Then it was on to the watering and feeding of the baskets and containers, thats another half hour job! Hub was busy covering thr blueberry bushes with netting, as the blackbirds are after them now thry are almost ripe......i could hear him shouting " clear off!". made me smile ;-)
The beef curry was good, very spicy, plenty left for next time too!
Just going to having some gooseberry crumble and creme fraiche for dessert now, made that yesterday ;-))
Then its Ross time ;-))
