Edinburgh

A full on day of chores after breakfast with Dot, with whom we stayed last night. We met Helen in our flat, who does all our cleaning, meeting and greeting for us here and does a great job. Quite pleased to see that generally it still looks very nice.  A repeat visit to a carpet store was first where we got more confused than yesterday, then to a fire store where we realised it wasn't going to be as easy as 'replace our fire' and the fire regulations and chimney inspections and cladding are expensive. We did have a roll on sliced sausage though in the bikers' cafe next door and felt very out of place!  Ever onwards to a blind store which didn't exist.  And lastly, when our energy was low, to the blue and yellow emporium. Finally back to the flat to unload our purchases, chuck things out, replace things, note things we'd like Helen to do differently and are now about to have a bite to eat. Indian or Italian? Great to be on holiday ;-)
