Yes, I'm looking at YOU

I spoke too soon. The Neighbours are not happy about the new fence. Or at least Mrs Neighbour isn't, but she waited until we'd finished to vent her spleen.

I went round 2 months ago to show and explain to Mr Neighbour why the fence panels really did need to be replaced (it's our boundary to look after)and he agreed that it did make sense. I invited him round again on the day we started work to explain what exactly we were about to do and how we were going to do it. He concurred and even came back every so often to check on progress as we were working and again at the end to check that the boundary was dog proof once more. All was fine and he seemed pleased that we'd done it.

Then this morning I was out by the back door and overheard Mrs N loudly expressing her extreme dissatisfaction to Mr N about the work: what we'd done, what we hadn't done, why hadn't we planted a hedge like we said we were going to, why this, why that, then some personal stuff which made me very sad for Mr N as it was really nasty. I think she may be suffering from some kind of dementia and while it's easy for us to ignore her comments it can't be much fun to live with.
