Flotta Mural

Out on Flotta again today. This time for day of talks and presentation and a look at some of the other work being done as part of the Scapa Flow Landscape Partnership Scheme. A huge variety of projects and it's great to see what others have been up to as we've beavered away on the parts we've been involved with.

We were particularly impressed with this mural in the Community Centre. The islanders had input into the content, which was then drawn up by an artist and then everyone helped to paint the actual mural. The finished artwork is superb and there are some great talking points in the picture. We were so engrossed in the stories represented and the conversations that resulted that we almost missed the bus back to the ferry.
