Biltong (Souvenir #2)

After taking 1000+ photos during holidays I am entering a blip lull. This may be evident given today's blip is of some dried meat. Need to get back into normal routines and being intentional about taking photos.

This is Biltong. It is a popular South African snack, a little bit like Beef Jerky. It is basically cured, spiced beef (other animals are available). It turns out, in retrospect, that it is illegal to bring meat products back from another country. I did not know this until today.

Good thing the sniffer dogs missed it that I bought it in the UK.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. I ate a whole bag of the stuff (chilli flavour naturally). It manages to be rather addictive whilst simultaneously making me slightly queasy after each mouthful. I am craving some more.


Murray Rewatch Status
Rewatching all 5 hours of the Murray match on Youtube. Murray has just won the first set and is looking good up a double break in the second.
Can't go wrong from here.
