NKT Victoria

I was down at Fittie today when I in the distance I noticed a larger than usual vessel approaching. I assumed it would be a Dive Support vessel., however when it got closer I saw it was more unusual than that.

The NKT Victoria is a brand new ship commissioned in 2017, and sailing under the Norwegian flag. It is a cable laying vessel, engaged in the offshore wind industry. It was approaching the harbour very slowly and probably had to do some tricky manoevering to reach its berth, Aberdeen harbour is quite tight for larger ships.

Given the unusual nature of this ship it replaced any photographs I had taken around Fittie today.
