Hen Haiku

No spring chicken that.
The waiter brought tough old hen 
Heartburn for afters


We went to a restaurant that we haven't eaten in for a long time.  It was never wonderful, but it plumbed new depths today.  Chopped up boiled eggs and mayonnaise for starter and tough chicken with stodgy macaroni for main.  Then they tried to overcharge.  Afterwards we went to a friend's place to collect some of their surplus walnuts.  They have a fine view from their hilltop retreat.
