Rain!

A busy day! The kitchen installation was due to start next Monday so today we headed into Newcastle to buy a number of items which we needed prior to the work beginning. I had taken my big camera with me but the showers were so heavy I resorted to taking shelter & using my phone! This was taken at Fenwicks doorway looking across the bottom of Grey's monument. When we arrived home there was a phone message from the kitchen installer to say they are running a week behind & cannot start for a fortnight rather than next Monday. We were shell shocked as everything has been arranged around that date, time off work, the cat in the cattery etc & so furious they only told us today. We've contacted our trusty builder to see if perhaps they can do the job instead, perhaps a different week but feel so frustrated with the original firm we would quite like to find an alternative. Fingers crossed!
