Playing tourist, day 1

had great intentions of going up to the top of the tower in the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral today for stunning vistas across Merseyside. Woke up to thick mist everywhere. The day did clear up after lunch, so we decided to give it a go.

"Sorry, the lift's not working - you can only go up to the 4th floor"

The view from the 4th floor's not bad, but I'll save the aerial view of Liverpool for another day when we can get to the top.
