Eyeries

Today's hike from Allihies started wet, and then it got windy and wet, boggy and wet, misty and wet and then just wet and wet. I arrived in Eyeries around lunchtime but when going to pay for a sandwich discovered that my paper cash was almost dissolved and stuck in a soggy wadge inside my wallet which was inside my ostensibly waterproof waist pack. Fortunately the shopkeeper accepted a dripping note peeled off the top. Luckily the B&B had a tumble drier for my damp clothes so now dry again.
Weather forecast looks good and this evening's sky is promising. I have 15 miles to cover tomorrow so a bit of sunshine will be welcome!
