Jane Austen Roses

Jane Austen died on 18th July 1817. Winchester Community Choir's performance this evening included songs that she may have heard and readings from books about her and her letters.

The weather was dreadful and I expected some people to not attend but it was virtually a sell out.

I can't tell you how much we have raised for the Samaritans but it will be well over five hundred pounds.

I didn't have an opportunity to take any photos of the choir but a friend came. No took some photos. I will share some when I receive them.

A choir member made some roses for Carolyn, our conductor from photo copied pages from Jane Austen novels. What a lovely thoughtful gift
