Life and Death in the Wheat Field

A nice walk round the fields in the afternoon sun, I saw loads of butterflies in the hedgerows, so many that some were fighting for a position to land on ( see extra.......not the greatest photo but shows three different butterflies attempting to sit in the same spot).
Then I spotted two gorgeous dragons hunting for insects over the crops......the one in the blip grabbed a ringlet butterfly and settled down to enjoy his afternoon tea......I couldn't get any closer without trampling on the ripe crops and I didn't dare do that when I know how grumpy the farmer is, so I hope you can make it out ok :-))
