Life on the Good Intent

An Apple a Day

I put bashed apples out for the blackbirds and starlings, they eat them on the grass. The skins disappear, I put that down to slugs. However sometimes I find the apple skin cup on the fence - wondered how they get there? Magpie? Crow?
Now mystery is solved, the cute culprit was eating the flesh delicately from inside the skin, I guess she gets enough fibre from the peanuts she steals.
