The throbbing heart of Milton Keynes

Honestly. This is about 100 yards from the main shopping centre. I was there was 10 minutes or so and no one else came through.

I was out last night and came to the conclusion that MK is an elaborate hoax. Each bar and restaurant is a film set. There is nothing going on in the streets outside yet when we walk into bars there is the thrum of lively chatter. Go outside again and it's deserted. There are no kids on skateboards or BMX, no youths shouting abuse at each other. I haven't seen a vagrant. Very odd place.
