The speaker stands in the gloom while her luminous white shirt of a colleague stands in the light of the projector obscuring the slide and creating so much glare it hurts to look at the front of the room.

And the room echoed so badly it was hard to have a discussion even with people nearby, and the tea and coffee ran out way before everyone had had some.
