Latrodectus hasseltii - AT107

This is a large iron sculpture of a Red Back spider that I bought at a Winery in Western Australia over 25 years ago…. and it still scares me to this day.
 
I played around with it in iPhoto by changing its colour and adding more definition on that infamous Red Spot! 
 

The Red Back is indigenous to Australia and does have a rather nasty venom that inflicts some particularly nasty pain and other horrible symptoms.
