The Weather forecast

for the last few days has been warning of a storm which would leave much of the country blanketed in snow and ice and they were spot on. We have had it mild compared to those living south of here but today was the first time I stood and watched snow falling.   All main roads south of Taupo are closed tonight due to the snow.  It looks like our friend will be staying longer than he thought.  The birds continued to feed on the food and water throughout the day.  I noticed this tui when I was in the garage so it was a quick snap.
