Heleniums
Of the various heleniums we have which all claimed to be Moerheim Beauty (which I think should be a rusty red), this is the most obvious impostor, but it's such a good yellow that it has escaped being rooted out. The only one we have which I think is reliably Moerheim Beauty is still only in bud, and won't be out for a bit yet.
The fringe of brightly coloured petals (if petals they are) distracts attention from the mass of concentric tiny flowers which make up the central dome, and which gradually open, tier by tier. Although they're so small, they're very attractive to insects, another good reason to keep this plant in the border.
