Ancient Tower

This is Abernethy tower. It is a landmark for miles around.
Abernethy used to be the capital of Scotland many many hundreds of years ago. It is still a very small village of about 1500 people but maybe not as grand as it used to be.
Historians can't date the tower but recon it is pre 800 hundreds. So by anyones reckoning it quite old. I am very lucky to have this sight out of my lounge window. I don't ever take this view for granted.
