Campbell River, Vancouver Island

Boats, boats and more boats. Flew over here this morning in a 19 seater Beechcraft. What a welcome, placard up and man calling out my name. He said now you have no more worries everything taken care of for you for your time here. Have spent the afternoon just walking, Marina after Marina of little boats to massive flash ones. 30,000 people live here.
Tomorrow head into Knights Inlet in a float plane to have 36 hours with the grizzly bears and other wild life. Will be out of touch with the world but will back blip when I get down to Victoria in a couple of days time. No cell phones or wifi. We leave all our luggage behind except for bare necessities and camera gear of course. They supply wet weather gear and all food etc
The weather here is so beautiful. my health back to normal thank goodness but it has taken until tonight really. Think I will have lost a few ponds as haven't felt like eating much
