Thank goodness we had this to look forward to tonight- Tim Baillie, Olympic gold medallist coming to our Scout Group to meet and speak to all the sections.
Best question from one of my Beavers:
"See when you win a gold medal why do you get flowers too?"
"So you can give them to your Mum to say thanks for all she's done for you."
Same Beaver:
"Challenge for you- do you think you could race Usain Bolt and beat him?"
"No."
Ex Beaver, now a Cub:
"Where do you keep your gold medal?"
"In my pocket."

Seemed like a really nice bloke- here's Betty with Tim and the gold medal! She was practically sitting on his knee!
