A kind thought

Standing in for a colleague this morning meant for a strong feeling of deja vu as I celebrated the year with Y10s. My own year group on Monday and that will form a big part of this weekend's jobs. There will be other things to do related to a situation finally shifting and meaning that we will hopefully be able to get a lot sorted before we break up on Wednesday. 
 
The end of the day came around slightly earlier than usual with the first of the end of term dos. It wasn't very well attended but we did say goodbye to a friend and colleague. Her lovely flowers were planted in a John Smith's jug - slightly incongruous but a kind thought by the bar staff. 

So, the third Friday night in a row when I haven't just been able to come home and inhabit the sofa but this time next week the year will be done and things will have been packed for our holibobs.
