At Half Mast

Flags were flying at Half Mast today in Benidorm, as a sign of Two Days of Official Mourning..... for Miguel Pérez Devesa, who died at the weekend.
Don Miguel was Mayor of Benidorm,
1974-1977.... he was the first Mayor of the Transition.... following the death of Franco in 1975.... and the Establishment of Democrasy in Spain.
He was described as 'a Man of Vision'.... who recognized that Benidorm could become a leading Spanish/ European Tourist Resort... and he worked towards this end.
