Let's Go
Not long after I arrived at Panshanger Park I met two women and their dogs. They asked me what I planned to photograph. I told them I'd be happy with anything and wasn't holding out much hope for dragons on the trail as it was too dull. They said they'd see a red kite fly down and perch in a dead tree. I looked through my long lens and it was still there in the distance. I strode through the long grass and got the above shot as it took flight. I think it had been attracted by rodents fleeing from a tractor pulling a grasscutter.
Today's poem is The Door by Miroslav Holub. http://www.scottishpoetrylibrary.org.uk/poetry/poems/door
It's a poem about change. Many find change difficult - I'm one of them.
