Inspiration

I recently bought this notebook in an eBay auction, and it is serving as an inspiration on different levels. It appears to be the notebook of a person studying millinery , with line drawings, and lots of narrative. The line drawn pictures are beautiful, but it's actually serving more as a motivation for me to learn German. This is proving slightly more tricky, as some terms seem quite millinery specific, which aren't in a 'normal persons' vocabulary in English, let alone German... this paragraph I believe is abou 'veiling' and how to iron it (I think)
