Bella buildings
Had an early start to the day and loaded Dad?s car for the last time en route to St. Pancras where we got our train to Gatwick. Very uncharacteristically (!) I must say we were cutting it fine to get our train so the husband held the doors to the train much to the disgust of the commuters aboard. I managed to get on in time with my three heavy bags and had to sit on them on the floor for a good five while I tried to revive myself.
After that the journey was very smoothe indeed. We got to check-in and the nice lady turned a blind eye to our overweight check-in and carry on baggage. Also it was good to see that Air Comet did exist as an airline and wasn?t a figment of our imagination when we booked these very budget flights.
So on board and sat down on a very quite flight we congratulated ourselves for making it in one piece. An hour and fifty later we touched down to a very sunny but cold Madrid. A short taxi ride later we were checked into our Apthotel which is very nice indeed ? well done husband for sorting that!
Dumped our bags and went out exploring from our base here in Tetuán. The time was 2/3pm so everything was very quiet, most places closed for lunch. We had an explore for as long as we could bear the cold and took in some of the local sights?.spotted these very cool buildings near Plaza de la Castellana that are the gateway to Chamatin ? a prospective area for us to find a place to live maybe.
Dinner in the evening was very nice indeed ? Pizza Jardin ? a place we will return to again I am sure, very good food, very cool décor and very good service.
